Spurned on by the passion and pain of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, the hope of England in the Euros, the prestige of Wimbledon and the glory that is the Olympics, the TCF team decided that the Summer of 2024 would be topped off with a 2nd Indoor Cricket Tournament at none other than the Home of Cricket, the Lord’s MCC.

Six teams of eight players competed in a tournament of 8-over indoor cricket with somewhat complicated rules that resulted in runs being lost to overthrows, hopeless run-outs and even more hopeless appeals to the umpire.

Each team played two matches with the group winners progressing into the finals which was won once again by the semi-pros the Karahi Kings!

Legendary former Pakistani 1980’s batsman Zaheer Abbas, the first cricketer to score three consecutive centuries in one-day internationals, was also in attendance to give the teams a pep-talk and show his support for TCF.

The Team
Once again, a big thank you to the team who simply by attending and reaching out to their networks helped fund a TCF school of 180 children for a year.

Why We Do This

From Bhai Pheru Village to LUMS, read Ayesha's heartfelt story. TCF Alumna, Ayesha Siddiqui, proudly stands between her two pillars of strength, her parents, on her graduation day from LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences). She drapes her father's weathered scarf around her shoulders, symbolising a lifetime of his hard work and sacrifice as a labourer. The family celebrates their firm belief in education and resilience against adversity that has paved the way for this moment! Your journey is an inspiration for us all, Ayesha! Congratulations on setting a powerful example for your community and showcasing the transformative power of education.
