Splatakatkat! The sound of the starting circle of gotis as they are aggressively struck by the striker and rebound across the edges in anticipation of at least one goti being sunk in the players opening gambit.
That was the soundtrack of The South London Chapter’s Games Night on Saturday 12th September held in Wimbledon’s Mansell Road Centre; a lovely facility set within a 150 year old church, right next to the equally charming Wimbledon High School.
Table Tennis and board games were also on offer but the Carrom tournament mobilised both young and old to form teams and schwak it out.
With biryani and pizza to help keep the competitors focus on point, the evening was a fantastic opportunity for young people to connect and learn about the work of TCF directly from alumnus Muzammil Ikram.
Well done to our Youth Group who helped organise the event.
